Christmas is coming!

I am so excited....Christmas is coming...98 days! Yay! I am sitting here watching Deck the Halls and have a cinnamon spice candle burning and its cold and gloomy out!
.
I went shopping! I was looking at a new store that just opened full of discount items and I found a cool pack of Christmas items for £14.99. Half of it is traditional green and red:

and the other half pink!

So cute! It comes with 2 packs of 6x6 paper, 2 sets of rub ons, 2 packs of glitter tags, 2 sets of brads, 4 sets of adhesive ribbon like strips and 2 sets of shaker tags!
.
And then I also got these three stamps (only 99p!)

Bye for now!

Testing out other crafts!

Hello! Long time no posts! I do not have anything to show today....I have found something that I will photograph over the next few days though!
.
I have been attempting some other crafts until I can get back to card making. I can knit a baby hat, but only a very simple pattern and if I make a mistake, well then I am stuck until someone can fix it for me! It does not matter how many times I someone teaches me or reading books I can not seem to fix the mistakes! I thought I would try and teach myself how to knit a hat on 4 needles so there is no seam. That did not go very well!! My hat ended up with so many holes, I dropped stitches, gained stitches, lost a needle and somehow only had 3 needles at the end! I gave up and have not attempted it again since.
.
Next jewellery making. Have always thought this looked fun....I got as far as reading a how to guide and after jump rings, headpins, crimp something I realised this is a lot harder than it sounds and will have to wait and take a class one day!
.
Now its on to cross stitch! I have a little cross stitch kit which looked simple enough. I started it tonight, I got as far as 6 stitches and it just did not look right. I went downstairs to look at a cross stitch my Mum has framed on the wall and it looked nothing like that! It seems that you are supposed to separate the threads and only use one! lol! So its unpicked and I am beginning again but I have given up for the evening! I used to do cross stitch when I was younger, but it was much simpler, more like paint by numbers, I remember there was a pattern underneath and I just cross stitched where it told me too....much simpler!
.
Maybe I should just stick with what I know!
